About us

    FORMBLOCK AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (Australian business number 85 072 393 956) is a small Australian company based in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia, which has been involved in earth building since the early 1980's. With a background in both adobe (mud brick) and pisé (rammed earth) construction, the inventor and founder of Formblock Steve McGregor, along with father Angus and brothers Don and Rory have developed and tested the Formblock system on many homes and structures constructed over that time in both Australia and New Zealand.

   At FORMBLOCK we believe in the general promotion of earth building as a major contributor to the principles of sustainable living, and reducing the demand on eco-sensitive resources. Our objective is to produce a product that can do both this, and significantly reducing the somewhat daunting manual effort that is normally associated with traditional methods earth construction. Thus, allowing the endeavours of earth building to be considered an affordable and a viable proposition.
